Frank Liu is one of the pastors of AwakenChurch…a recent church plant whose goal is to reach and empower the 'next generation.' He became a Christian when he was 16 years old through the Orlando Chinese Church. He then got involved in a movement called Great Commission Churches (GCC) while at the University of Florida. After graduating from UF in 1997 with a Masters and Specialist in Marriage and Family Counseling, he helped lead a team of ten to launch a campus church at the University of North Florida. In November of 2000, he was ordained an elder through GCC and went into full-time ministry in 2001. Today, Frank is married to the woman of his dreams (Gisela) and, together, they are raising four great kids…Josiah, Talia, Isabel, and Danielle. As a family and church, their ongoing burden remains set on helping reach and empower a generation of singles, young families, and young-at-heart that have become increasingly disconnected from God and the church.
